Ephesians 6

¹⁰Finally,be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. ¹¹ Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. ¹²For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. ¹³Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. ¹⁴Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, ¹⁵and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. ¹⁶In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; ¹⁷and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, ¹⁸praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, ¹⁹and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, ²⁰for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.

How are we supposed to be "strong in the Lord and the power of His might."?  Well, our Lord is gracious enough to tell us.  He tells us that we are at war with the devil, and that we can get rid of Him if we listen.  All we have to do is be truthful and righteous, and go tell people of the gospel, have faith and salvation, and the word of God.  And also to pray at all times.

What a great church America would have if we did all these things.  What a great place America would be if we had the faith in God that he can do all and we can do nothing by ourselves.  All of our own work to make church like a show to bring people in does nothing if God is not in it.

And what would happen if we would pray for God's will and bring the gospel to our lost world?  He would be gracious to us and heal our land, as 1 Chron 7:14 tells us (it might be 2 Chron). 

To do all of this, we need to fight against the devil, and know that He can do all.  We need to put on God's armor and fight the battle, and at all times bring glory to God!
